Waiting, running, waiting...

Yesterday, after performing spine surgery in the morning, I rushed to the airport to catch a flight to Helsinki, then ran for the train to Turku, where we had the board meeting of the Finnish Society of Spine Surgery. From there, I ran again to catch the last train back to Helsinki, where I spent the night in a small hotel room.

Today, I had a full day meeting with the FinSpine Registry Taskforce. And now I’m back at the airport again - only to find out that my regular flight back to Kuopio at 23:55 is delayed by an hour. In the middle of the night!

That means I won’t be home and in my own bed before 3 a.m.

But there’s no time to weep - tomorrow morning, a fully booked outpatient clinic awaits, with new patients struggling with back problems waiting to see me.

Life on the fast lane! ✈️🚆🏥
